Individuum : An Illustrated Story

A tale of self identity, idea of perception, & various themes of mental health/psychology.

This was my Final Major Project for University; I wanted to be able to create a final piece of work not only evocative of my style, but also incorporate strong elements and themes that have been prevalent within my work - whilst on top of that, being personally important to me not only as an artist, but my writing, and my self.

I love exploring and encompassing themes of self identity, mental health and various branches of psychology within my work - the idea of putting a piece of my self and personal experiences alongside others and the knowledge I have gained about these is something I treasure.

A Surrealist Self-Biography ;

An illustrated self biographical series created surrounding topics of loss & mental health, combined with liminal spaces and surrealism.

This project’s aim was to create an series of sequential illustrations, focused on my dreams and recollections of not only personal experiences but also those gained through research, coinciding within my own dream sequences - resulting in the amalgamation of these ideas within a chain of art pieces conveying the passage of time and a metaphorical ‘journey’ also.
